Food

All I want in the world right now is Spaghetti and Meatballs. My husband is not interested in eating Spaghetti and Meatballs right now so I haven't been getting my fix. I'm not sure why I'm blogging about this today but if any of you speak to my husband, can you let him know that I'm hungry?

What I'm Working On

I got e-mailed yesterday by a reader who wanted to know when a certain book would be coming out. I love receiving mail like that! Thank you for contacting me!

But, it made me think that maybe I should post on here an update of what I'm working on and what is up next. I used to keep this on the sidebar but then I kept changing my mind so I took it off.

Right now...

I am writing the second book in a Young Adult Post Apocalyptic First Person Urban Fantasy series. The first book, Initiation, has been sold to Decadent Publishing!

I am also half-way through the next book in the Westervelt Wolves series.

Then I will be writing the third book in the Sexy Superheroes series while continuing on with the third book in the Young Adult Series.

That is all...I think.

Best to all of you

It's Hard to Talk About

Friend: How is your writing going?

Me: Fine.

Friend: What are you working on?

Me: A couple of things.

Because, really, the truth is, outside of online, I find it very, very difficult to talk about my writing.

Does that happen to any of you?

Am I alone in this??

AHH

As I run around like a chicken with my head cut off getting the children everywhere they have to go, I am wondering what happened to my end of the year organization where I had everything under control and life well in hand.

Ahh..that's right. I left in June.

And my baby is turning 1 tomorrow!

How the heck did that happen?

I have a confession...

I love Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Do you have a television show you watch that is just downright silly but you love it anyway?

Very Late to Blog Today

Because I was up half the night with a Migraine.

But, I am here and doing well now, even looking forward to going out to dinner. I finished the second chapter in my YA series, even though the first doesn't yet have a home. (I'm hopeful though that I've subbed it to where it belongs and they'll like it too.)

Now, I'm off to bathe a baby.

Lots of love to all of you!

I'm changing my Work in Progress

It turns out that all my Muse wants to work on right now is more in YA series. So that is what I will do. No point in forcing writing that doesn't want to come!

See you all soon!

The Kids are Back in School...Sort of

So, for a change, I thought maybe I'd write a little bit about what is going on with my 'real' life meaning the life I lead when I am not on the computer lost in fantasies I've created in my own head.

My oldest son--as I've blogged about before--started Kindergarden this year. The public schools in our town are quite good and we happily placed him in our local neighborhood elementary school. Before that, however, for the last three years he went to a Montessori preschool in town. We had started my second son in that school as well in the two year old program. Some day I could write blogs and blogs about the disaster that last years schooling ended up being but I won't bore you with it now.

Let's just say that as of November, I knew I wouldn't be giving that particular school any more of my money and went looking for a new nursery school for DS#2 and hopefully DS#3 when he is old enough.

So fast forward to now. They both started new schools. DS#1 in our local Kindergarden and DS#2 in a nursery school that has me driving a long distance every morning to drop him off but where I am sure he will be well taken care of.

What has proven to be funny about this is that while my local Kindergarden keeps the kids 1/2 day for almost a week and a half to test them and faze them in, the nursery is already full day. So my 5 year old is coming home at noon every day (until next week) and my 3 year old is out of the house until 3 PM. This feels really bizarre to me.

It's also been making it kind of hard for me to write. The 12 PM rush to get DS#1 is really messing with my schedule.

But no worries, I tell myself, next week is coming and then he will be in class all day...
It's not that I don't want my kids home. I love having them with me. They're great kids and I am so blessed to have them.

But Mama is missing writing time.

Blessings to all of you!

Writing Slowly

Usually, I can produce upwards of 3 K a day on a Work in Progress but lately, with everything I've had going on, my output has slowed up. I'm hoping once all my children are settled into their schools that everything will pick up again. I'm find it really frustrating to not have the time I am used to.

Handling more than one manuscript at a time

As a writer, I have to admit, I am very organized about how I write. I have one manuscript and I write it. I call it my Work-in-progress, or WIP for short. I have a list that I keep telling me what the next book I'm going to write is going to be and since I usually write series it's usually the next book in a series I haven't written for a while.

Where am I now? I have two unsold manuscripts that I'm waiting to hear back on--an odd thing for me--and I'm writing a third. So I've now had to write another List entitled "What I have out there" to keep track of that.

I briefly contemplated trying to write more than one WIP at once. But then I thought, Rebecca, you have to keep a list just to keep track of what you're doing. Bad idea to try to take on anything else.

Anyway, hope you're having a great Monday.

This weekend

I had a great weekend. It was my birthday, which was really fun. I will admit that I am the kind of person for whom birthdays really matter. Maybe i shouldn't care but I like the whole fuss of the day. I like people saying 'happy birthday.' I make a fuss over people's birthdays.

This year looked like it might be sort of sad because DH was away. But, my friends and family made a big fuss over me Friday and then when DH returned on Saturday we ended up going out for a fantastic meal with my family.

You'll notice a trend in these posts, I do love to eat.

Anyway, I hope you're having a wonderful, wonderful Sunday and that all is well with you.

Banging the Superhero

Banging the Superhero, the second book in my Sexy Superheroes series, available for Purchase Here!

Ace Hudson has worked for his brother, Draco, at Powers, Inc. since it opened. Spending his days trying to balance his job with taking care of his teenage brother, Lael, he uses his nights to overcome the overabundance of adrenaline in his body that makes him lose control. He also has a secret crush on a celebrity chef who makes home-cooked meals look sexier than anything he has ever seen.

Alice Styles runs an empire based on her ability to make people want to eat what she cooks. When she is nearly killed on live television in a situation straight out of one of her childhood nightmares, she reluctantly asks Ace Hudson to help keep her safe.

Starting out with instant dislike and finding their way to mutual pleasure, Ace and Alice do not have an easy path to love. But their egos and personal barriers are nothing compared to the looming threat just waiting for a moment to possess Alice.

Hope you'll come and check it out!

Tuesdays

It's Tuesday and my oldest son is starting Kindergarden. So head on over to Paranormal Romantics and see what is going on over there.

I thought I'd post this picture today. It's a picture of me with my oldest two children at Old Orchard Beach, Maine just a few days ago. Sigh. Today is a big day for all of us. Kindergarden feels really huge.

AN AWESOME CONTEST!!

WOO HOO!

Contest goodies going on today.

So, I have the good fortune to know a really incredible author named Sandra Marshall. She is a fellow author over at Eirelander Publishing and her first book there, Addiction, was an incredible read.

When we discovered that we both have releases coming out this week, we knew we had to throw a contest together to celebrate. (It's also my birthday later this week so even more reason to celebrate~)

So here is what you need to do. Are you ready? Go over to Sandra's blog and then come back to mine. Let me know what Sandra did on her way back from the Caribbean earlier this year.

Comment here with the answer and you will be entered to win your choice of either a print copy of Sandra's book Addiction or an e-book copy of her latest release The Deceived AND a copy of either Screw Superman or it's follow up--releasing today--Banging the Superhero.

So what are you waiting for? TWO BOOKS PEOPLE!!

Best to you

Well, baby, here I am NOT PREGNANT and I am looking forward to PARTY.

I was trying to think of what hottie I would put up here for your LABOR DAY enjoyment and I decided to post the cover of Wolf's Magic for y'all since that is what you are entering to win.

So here he is. The character is Az...He's pretty hot right?

Now hop on over to my friends' blogs.
