The King's Speech

Last night, I went with two girlfriends to see The King's Speech. It was a Thursday night and a Snow Day so we didn't expect the movie theater to be all that packed. Boy, were we wrong. Apparently we weren't the only ones with cabin fever.

The movie was outstandingly good and I recommend it to everyone. One thing I would note. While Colin Firth has been receiving a lot of attention--and deserves to because he is AMAZING--I don't think enough has been said about how good Helena Bonham Carter is as Elizabeth. She gave an amazing performance.

If you haven't gone to see it you should. I'm so glad we snuck out for a ladies night on a cold, miserable day.
