Six Sentence Sunday

He sliced the air with his hand, cutting her off. “You must cease dying this very instant. Whatever must be done to get better, do it.”

Despite her resolve to stay stern, a grin crossed her face. He sounded like such a Mer. Her people, if they could still be called that, didn’t understand how life worked outside of the ocean waters.

  20. Bossy but clueless--what a setup for comedy and drama both. The implied collision of worlds in the background just underlines it.
